Default Waterproof Servo Fried? Video Inside

First off sorry this isn't a crawler its my Slash 4x4 Ive just been reading these forums a lot lately in preparation for the SCX10 Honcho I plan on getting soon and know there is a lot of experience on this forum so thought I would ask here.

It rained here today so I took my slash out for some fun splashing around in the street after 5 minutes or so I brought it back up the driveway into my garage doing a little drifting since my tires were wet and the garage floor is slick concrete. I ended up sliding and hitting the wall with the front bumper a few times but not very hard at all as I didn't have much traction since I was just spinning the tires mainly. Then all of a sudden the truck turned itself off. I picked it up took the body off and turned it back on discovered it would go forward and backward fine, however if I tried to turn it turned one way fine but very slowly the other way. Then after a few more times of trying to turn the wheel it stopped turning either way at all. I removed the servo from the truck and found if I turned power on it would stay on however as soon as I tried to turn this would force the ESC to turn off. I removed all the gears from the top of the servo and found as soon as I turn the truck on the servo motor starts running and will not stop until I turn off power to the truck. Im guessing the sevo with all the gears on it was trying to turn one way and putting itself in a bind pulling to much power and that was causing the ESC to turn off? Is there any point to taking the servo apart any farther? Is it just done? Video link below

I'd at least take it apart and make sure there isn't a mechanical failure. Lots of nicer servos are rebuildable...

Just a quick follow up for anyone that might read this. I called Traxxas support this morning and the tech I talked to said its normal for the servos motor to run non stop without the gears attached due to it trying to calibrate. However it turning the receiver off while trying to turn the wheels he decided we would just chalk it up to bad luck and is sending me out a new one. So I'm not sure what went bad with it but grateful for Traxxas support's awesome response.
