| Initial setup of an OrangeRx T-SIX
Hello from England My first post, so be gentle with me. I've been playing with RC cars for the last 12 months or so, as a bonding excercise with my 13 year old son. The RTR models were great, but his thirst for knowledge, now means we are building up an Axial XR10. After charging up his old HSP 1/8 rock crawler on a twin stick transmitter, we realised twin sticks are the new black. So I ordered a mode 2 OrangeRX T-SIX transmitter. It has got modes for planes and helicopters, but nothing simple for cars I bound it to our Losi Micro Crawler, and all controls are unresponsive, no throttle or steering on any control. Just the throttle seems to be on 1/4 as the wheels spin continuously forward. Also bound it to our Vanterra Glamis, same thing no control, just the motor spins at 1/4 speed or less, with no control over throttle or steering. Can somebody point me in the right direction with this transmitter. I'd like throttle on the right stick, as it is sprung forwards/backwards and steering on the left stick. That is all I want for now. Thanks Again Andy |

Sounds like the radio wasn't calibrated to the ESC. Before you calibrate, make sure all trims are neutral. This sets up your failsafe properly as well.

and as far as which stick does what is only a matter of how you plug everything into the receiver. i use a 6ch twin stick on my scaler, using right stick for both throttle and steering.

Thanks But I think the transmitter is faulty. I've setup an OrangeRx on the bench with a test servo, and it won't bind to that either. Seems I'm not the only one having this problem. Unable to Bind an Orange 6 channel Tx with a OrangeRx GR300 Spektrum DSM2 3Ch 2.4Ghz Ground Receiver - YouTube I guess I'll be onto Hobby King Andy |

one other thing is some brands may not allow air tx to bind to surface rx. why not pickup an orangerx 6ch air rx for cheap and try that before buying a new radio.

I did buy an Orange 6ch air receiver - as like you say they are dirt cheap, and thought it might be a handy thing to have around. The transmitter wouldn't bind to that either, so I guess it is faulty, so my next port of call is HobbyKing returns. Thanks All Andy |
