Default Brxl won't calibrate (no yellow)

Hi all,

I got a used BRXL HH esc and I can't calibrate because it never goes yellow to do neutral set.

I have tried a BEC, swapping motor wires pos and neg, every throttle setting on my 4pl, new memory and tons a of settings on 4pl, rev throttle on radio, different batteries, calibrating like 50 times. It has latest firmware as of like two days ago.

It just never goes to yellow after reverse and the. Once I let go and let it arm, it wants to go forward at almost full throttle on its own.

I can stop the auto throttle with reverse trigger and red light comes on.

Any ideas? I tried using internal BEC and with red wire pulled and cc BEC. I can't think of anything else to try before biting the bullet and sending it in to HH

It does what it's suppose to right up to reverse and I hold reverse and it blinks red and pulses the motor a bunch of times and the. Redight goes off and motor still pulse on and off amd never turns on yellow. I can even release once red stops and it just waits a bit, arms and acts like I'm squeezing the throttle with no trigger input. I aged with trims and it never stops unless I give it like 49 brake the. Red light blinks like I'm pressing reverse. There is no reverse as well.

Anything to try?

Jon

maybe check that radio throttle trim is zero'd out, increase throttle dead band, throttle epa's maxed out.

Trims are zeroed, EPA maxed to 120. What is the deadband adjust called on a futaba 4pl?

Thanks

Have you tried reversing the channel the esc is plugged into?

I think with futaba you need to reverse the channel for calibration

Yep as I mentioned in the first post, I tried rev throttle (futabas do need reverse throttle). Nothing I can find works

If you have a castle link reset all of the settings back to default and try it again. If that doesn't work you can try reloading the firmware with the castle link.

Try this, it worked on a set-up I couldn't get to calibrate.

1) Remove pinion from motor to prevent accidents
2) Plug in battery
3) Hold full throttle REVERSE on transmitter before ESC arms
4) ESC will beep and begin flashing red rapidly to indicate storage of full forward throttle
position
5) Hold full reverse THROTTLE on transmitter until beeping changes
6) ESC will beep rapidly with no lights to indicate storage of full reverse throttle position
7) Position throttle in neutral position
8 ) After about two seconds, ESC will store neutral position

Tried all that, still does the same thing. Calibrates forward and reverse then waits, arms and does forward throttle on its own.

Guess it's going to holmes to get looked at.

Thanks for trying guys

The throttle trim is set with the DT2 switch. The throttle trim should be set to zero. (See page 30 of the 4PL manual.)

I have the EPAs on my 4PL set to 100 when running with the BR-XL.
