Default Problem with SV3, no forward

So I tried installing a BEC on my Castle Sidwinder today. I followed the instructions on the CC BEC paper work. Connected the BEC leads to the battery leads on the esc. I removed the red wire from the esc receiver plug. Plugged it all in, programmed the BEC to 7.4v for my servo, all seemed good. So I grabbed my stick and tried the steering. Works. Tried throttle, nothing. Hit reverse and it goes. Nothing worked to get it to go forward. It worked 100% fine before BEC installation. I removed the BEC and it STILL has no forward. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've had random crap like that happen before. A quick reprogramming with the link and it worked again and still does.

I tried. Reset to factory defaults and tried different firmware. Looks like an excuse is mounting to buy a MMP...

That'll work! I'll give you $3 and a stale stick of gum for the dead sidewinder.

I might send it in to Castle for a repair job, no warranty obviously. Probably keep it for an upcoming Class 1 build

Mamba will be here Wed

I've got a couple sv2's to send in already. $43 is a damned fine deal for trading in a old busted piece for a new waterproof SV3. I have an old mamba max they'll trade for an mmp for $74 or something like that too. I need to get off my lazy ass and start sending that crap it.

Yeah no kidding. Wish the MMP was waterproof like the SV3, but I plan on running sensored brushless (ROC412 or Pro4) by summer so kinda need the MMP.

The SV3 will make a great C1 scaler esc.

Have you tried to re-calibrate the tx/rx? Stranger things have worked, so maybe worth a try.

I swapped in a Traxxas XL5 esc and ran a few packs through that, probably not the rx since that worked just fine right after the issue popped up. Thanks though.

Just ordered a MMP and some Silicone Conformal Coating. Time to get messy.

I've been holding out on sending in the mambamax hoping they'll release an mmpII that's waterproof like the mambamonsterII. My laziness might pay off.

I'd wait, but I'm not patient enough
