Just bought a new Savox 1283SG to try and fix a previous problem I had with my Hitec 7955. When wheel is turned to the left full lock and there is pressure on it, it wouldn't return to centre or come back at all, it would just turn off. So I purchased a new Savox with more torque at 30kg compared to the 24kg of hitec thinking it would fix the issue... It didn't, and I then ran into a completely new problem all together. The aluminium case or steel gears from the new Savox seem to be glitching when it's close to the motor and worse when the motor is running. P.s I've even replaced a new BEC. I've tried everything for my first issue. Suggestions? Use a spektrum glitch buster, it should fix your problem with the "glitching" trust me it will, my traxxas slash 4x4 that I raced with was like that when I put my new savox servo on there and once I put the glitch buster on there it stopped! So there only about 6$$ so go get one and update this thread. Hope this helped!!

I run savox on my rigs all of them make a noise. The slow return to center probably gonna be the rx or tx. I have the same problem with my futaba it was the rx.

Did you remove the red wire from the esc? Also make sure to leave all the negative wires connected, i have had some funky ground loop issues when i pulled the black wire along witht the red.

Problem solved, tried the glitch buster and it did nothing. The actual problem was that I seem to be having current draw running though my gearbox from the motor. What I did to fix this was change one of my servo mounts from steel to plastic, the otherside of my servo mount was alloy so it did not transfer contact. The other issue with my steering not returning was the bad geometry from my steering Ackerman. I made a temporary replacement for it. |
