| Need a new motor fan, any suggestions???
Hello, I have a Traxxas slash 4x4 LCG equipped with a Castle Creations mamba max pro with a 3800KV motor for racing only. So a few days ago the fan just went out (Castle fan that came with the system) and I need a new one to keep the heat down. My gearring is good although since Im racing I need a new fan so what types of fans would you suggest? It would obviously be able to plug into the traxxas receiver or I could use a heat sink for the motor. I run 2s lipos and they run 5000mah each so the motor doesn't get too hot but still. I know this is a short course truck but for a simple question as this its not needed to be put into a different forum or something! Thanks in advance, - axial 4x4 crawler |

I have always had great luck with the castle blower fan. Cheap to replace and they keep temps down. If you want to move more air then look at the on road car sites. Those guys use fans that could hold a car down they move so much air.

Okay thank you, Ill look into that. I'll either replace my castle blowing fan or rig up a muchmore racing fan over the motor itself. Thank you so much, I don't really want to put a heat sink over it, cause that motor needs a lot of air to it. The on road guys don't have to worry about much dirt and dust getting to there fan, so Im not sure how that would work. Unless they can take the abuse of 10th scale SC racing.
