Default Axial Radio Gear Issue

I have an Exo Terra and Wraith and both of the stock radios seem to be acting up.

The Exo terra seems to lose its neutral point and will continue to move forward albeit at a slow rate when the trigger is in the neutral position. I have recalibrated it twice and it never seems to hold. (All stock electronics)

The Wraith will twitch forward if i turn the steering back and forth quickly.
Mostly stock electronics but I added a castle bec and dual 27T motors.

Are the radios just cheap and prone to being faulty?

My kids use them so I'm not looking to drop major coin. The stock traxxas gear seems to have held up fine in comparison.
