Default scx10 dingo eletronics?

I have a axial scx10 dingo kit and I was wondering what electroinctics to put in it.

Here is kinda what im looking for/at
1. Prefer waterproof
2. Dont really have a budget.
3. Really want something that can pull my twin hammers and exo terra buggy on my trailer
4. I was looking at a tekin roc 412 maybe the 2400kv or the 3100 kv

But im not really sure what servo, esc, etc.

Thanks

Mate,

Any brushed motor is essentially waterproof, they just don't take to mud and fine particles much, so it comes down to how good a motor you want.
IMO anything by Holmes Hobbies either in the Expert or Pro range or torque and Crawlmaster cant be beat, especially if your trail running. Brushless is wasted on a crawler as the drag brakes are often very soft, and unless sensored, can be jerky at low throttle.

A 35T would pull either truck fine, the 16T CrawlMaster pro I use in my 2.2S would eat that job.

A waterproof ESC leaves you with either the 6S capable BRXL by Holmes, or the Castle 3S SideWinder SV3.

I know that Hitec do a WP servo, but its not the highest strength around, maybe just open the top case and fill with marine grease or similar to minimise ingress of water, and whack some silicone around the grommet at the base.

Good luck either way, sounds like your in for a blast.

I run a Holmes hobby waterproof BRXL ESC and 35T pro brushed. Very happy with both.

A few of us crawl in the Dallas area, check out txrcrca.com in the DFW crawler section if interested.

The difficulty is waterproofing the sensored brushless. A roc 3100 will have plenty of power to make it happen, but you will void the warranty when you conformal coat the elecs to waterproof it . You really have a bunch of options. Castle sv3, hh brxl, vxl 3s, are all waterproof out of the box and can all run brushed motors.

Unless you buy something used and already brushless, I'd say your best off sticking with brushed.

I run a 21.5 sensored motor non sensored with a sv3 and it does well, but that is because I'm using a 3 SPd trans.

Good luck
