That's a checkpoint endbell. I got my last set of checkpoint brushes from Holmes.

I quit running that style because I couldn't find any more but this was 3 or 4 years ago. Great motors though. Good luck. *found some http://www.teambrood.com/store/home.php?cat=273 http://holmeshobbies.com/Holmes-Chec...tor-brush.html Last edited by djjiz; 04-05-2014 at 01:24 PM. |

Nice! I appreciate the link. Any advice on copper or silver ones? Technical trail driven wraith.

I'd say you want the silver ones because they'll last longer but I could be wrong. You are a lucky bastard by the way. It's a beautiful motor design. |

It has copper brushes now. They have lasted a while but it was mostly full throttle snow wheeling. I was out a few weeks ago and lost performance. Cleaned the motor and it got its power back. But now its lost all power again and will not move without a push. This is geared 12/56 32p but changing to 12/60 in a few days. Also running 3s batt.

Run what you know works and experiment when you have time. I would buy 5 or 6 sets but that's just me being paranoid that they wont be forever in the market. |

I may just have to do that. I've been toying around the idea if brushless but I like the crawl of the crawlmaster

I'm going to brushless because it's cheap and easy but if I had that motor I wouldn't even consider it.

You want the copper brushes unless you want to replace the armature every couple sets of brushes. The silvers are really aggressive.

I believe holmes site says something about the silvers being hard on the arm. Im just going to stay with the copper. There a little cheaper to.
