Spectrum dx4 series radio.

I looked through the threads and didn't see any information on this radio yet. My question is does this radio work backwards? Example: I use spectrum dx3s now with most of my cars do I have to buy all new receivers to just upgrade my radio. I know I wouldn't have the 4th channel on 3 channel receivers but just wanted to make sure everything will continue to work.
Thanks in advance.
Michael

Yes. Mine's hooked up to DSM 1, 2, and R receivers. No problems.

Same for me. 13 receivers bound mine of various versions with no issues.
