Default Adapter to charge 2 2s as 4s

Here's what I'm looking for> an adapter to charge and balance 2 of my 2s lipos at the same time. Searched some on the internet and obviously I must be using the wrong search terms. Here's my setup.

Even if a person here makes them that's fine. Looking for 3. Two other people want one too. I know this charger is only 6amp but I wouldn't mind waiting 1.5hrs for a charge. I usually charge the day before anyway.

I don't think that's a good idea. If you think about how that charger balances the cells it would make it more possible to throw a cell out of balance. HiTec makes a charger that charges four batteries at once - maybe look into that?

I have had this for a long time. Could sell for a new. But I thought it was possible. I thought this was one of the better chargers? Meaning I never knew it would be at risk of throwing one off if I charged a 4s or higher

I have been charging packs in parallel for years. I have never charged in series though. I just upgraded to a 1000w charger so I can do my parallel charging at higher rates. You can buy parallel charging boards on hobbyking for less than $10.

They balance all 4 cells while charging correct?

They are in parallel so its like balancing a single 2s2p pack. I charge 6 3s packs in parallel which is the same as charging a single 3s6p pack. When I charge 6 2s packs its like charging a single 2s6p pack. The cells that are in parallel equalize and share a tap on the balance port. You have to have similar packs and they should be at similar charge levels when start.

Hmm. I expected to see 4 separate cell readouts. Is all this does is connect the cells of the two batteries? Like cell one with one and two with two? So when it's balancing it's actually the average of 4.2?

I tried to word it how I'm seeing it in my mind. Hopefully I did.

Just like I said above you are now charging a single 2s2p pack. The cells wired in parallel equalize since they are connected. The number you see would only be an average for the first second or two and then you are seeing what they are both at as soon as the equalize. This is why they need to be at similar levels of charge when you connect them. You wouldn't want a full pack "charging" a dead pack since the full pack would be able to discharge at a much higher C than the dead pack could safely charge at.

Ok. That clears it up. I was just a little slow on the draw in that sinking in I think. I have several pairs of identical lipos that I run two at a time in a couple of my big trucks. So they'll be right near the same v when I go to charge. Thanks again
