Holmes break in... my new motor

Hey all, just got my Holmes hobbies torquemaster brxl and and HH 27t tm sport motor. This really is my first time with a good motor. Just ran axial motors and just ran them hard from the start since they are cheap. That being said investing in this motor I want to take care of it and break it in correctly. I know HH says the other motors are plug and go but sport needs break in. Question is what is the best way for me to break it in. Need to get out and get my fix. Haven't been out in 3weekse.
Thanks,
Adam

I use a D battery and run it for 20 minutes or so to break mine in. Some do this in water, but I skip the water since I don't want the additional maintenance.

3 volts for 5 minutes....check the brushes. If seated and wearing across the entire face your are done. If not, repeat for one minute, check again. Repeat until seated....

Do NOT use water. Dry break in if you value your motor. When the break in is done, a quick shot of compressed air to blow out the dust helps.
