| Tekin RS esc and Hotwire
Ok I have a tekin RS and while the onboard led programming seemed fine for controllng my HomesHobbies brushed motor, I'm thinking of going brushless and am wondering if I will need the tekin hotwire to dial in a brushless motor or will the onboard led have enough head room to control a brushless motor or should it be enough options? This is in a wraith

We're expecting a release team wide later this week in which case if no bugs are reported the public will see it shortly after.

Yes, you will still need a hotwire and the proper adaptor for your device. Google "OTG" cable for your phone/tablet and make sure your device supports that connectivity. Most of the new phones do.

Ty@tekin ,,are there more brake adjustment that can only be accessed via-hotwire? In brushless sensored with a 13.5, the brake won't hold the rig on a small hill. Or am I getting all the brake available thru the led on-board settings

| Re: Tekin RS esc and Hotwire I believe there is a brake setting that produces a more active drag brake. Gearing as low as you can go will help a lot with the drag brake too, as well as start up. I think Im at 97/13 gearing and its pretty nice. Also, play around with the current limiting. I have mine set to 50% and it really smooths out the start up. Happy tuning |

The performance is nice I just don't have much if any drag brake. that is my only complaint with the set up.

| Re: Tekin RS esc and Hotwire You can maximize drag brake on the ESC without the HotWire, however most of your problem is the motor. 2-pole brushless don't have a very big magnet and will never have as much drag brake as a 4-pole, like the ROC 412 motors.

Well I got the hotwire and it solved all my issues. The motor I'm using is not a 2 pole motor but a 3 pole Viper 13.5. I must confess in stock format the ESC is really throttled back and has a lot of potential with the hotwire. I'm really starting to LOVE this set up. Thanks everybody
