Default revolver s and mmp issue.

So I picked up a revolver s and a mmp for one of my rigs and had some real weird issues. First everything is new motor, esc, and rx. I set the mmp to smart sense. So I get everything installed and when I started to run it around the shop it would start to cog and act like the sensor wire was unplugged and then it would work fine.. I checked all the connections and everything was hooked up fine. Then I noticed if I blipped the trigger to full throttle it would roll backwards real rough, like it was losing one of the three leads to the motor. It didn't happen all of the time. When it did it though, the amber neutral light and the green forward light on the esc would turn on. So I removed the revolver s and installed my roc412 and everything works perfect. So has anyone ran into this issue. I'd like to know what or why its doing what its doing. Thanks Mike.

Have you tried it on sensored instead of smart sense?

Sometimes it would work fine and sometimes it would act up and do weird stuff.

Did you use the same sensor wire with the ROC when you tried? Did you try the ROC long enough that it might do the weird stuff?

I used the same sensor wire and ran it for half an hour. The revolver ran like two minutes before I noticed an issue. Everything is the same except the motor.

I really want to use the revolver motor in my rig I just want to make sure its the motor and not anything else I may be missing. I'd hate to smoke a new mmp.

Seems you've eliminated the variables, yeah?

I would think so. I was really more curious why it would try to run backwards when trying to go forwards. Will it happen if one wire from the esc is is shorted.

You're sure you had a-a b-b and c-c?

Yes the wires were hooked up correctly. Its just one minute it worked fine, start up was smooth, had plenty of power and wheel speed. Then the next minute it would cog and would run backwards and sounded real rough. Then it would go back to being normal. Im gonna try the stubby revolver and see how that works.

Could be a firmware issue with the MMP. I also had strange behaviour when my MMP was spanking new and I had upgraded to the latest (beta) firmware.
Rolling back to the last "release" version solved the problem for me.

Thanks for the heads up. Ill look into it if the other outrunner does the same thing. Everything works great with the roc412 though.
