| MOA radio - maybe gt3c? 3pl?
I'm just about to buy an MOA crawler with dual escs and the gt3c really seems to be an affordable option. Overkill has been out fof stock or over a month, and the hack kit is back ordered. I don't mind doing the work myself, but I'd really like to get rolling ASAP. Can I at least go from 4wd to front wheel drive without the mod? Is it tricky to program? If not, can I mix throttle on to ch3, to at least be able to drive? Does anyone in the Dallas area do the mod? Also I have a futaba 3pl on hand, is there any way to set it up to work? I looked through the manual but it didn't specifically say it could, maybe someone knows a workaround? Even if it just goes from 4 to front wheel drive, that would at least get me rolling. I have never had a dig or MOA setup so please excuse my lack of knowledge, and thank you for yours! Thanks! |

Read the sticky's and threads in the elec section from a pc, they r listed at the top when viewed on a computer or web browser. Search YouTube. I really like the Futaba 3pmx, 4ws or dig built in and same programming basics as a 4pk I can't get the dig on a 4pl on the lower thumb switch to work like on a 4pk otherwise it would be great. I don't have one good exp from altering stock software to use in a way it wasn't specifically designed, but maybe the hacked gt3 is better about it?? |

I'm a gt3c/ gt3b fan. I have a hacked gt3b and have had it for quite a bit of years. Run on all my scalers and my moa. An do virtually anything. And at the cost of the radio before the hack and parts..... I can break it every other month , swap my parts to a new one and still be on top, lol. Oh and then can't beat up to 8 ch on pistol radio |

Thanks ! I read all of the stickies up there, and none addressed any of these questions. I may be missing something, feel free to post a link! I totally believe that the hacked gt3 will be fine, I'm wondering about using it or the 3pl I own until the back ordered hack kit arrives, even in a marginal way. |

Hacked gt3b or c , up to 8 channels of full adjustability, i have a 2.2 moa, front and rear proportional dig, i have two supers with rear steer as well and the flysky works great imho.

"I can't get the dig on a 4pl on the lower thumb switch to work like on a 4pk otherwise it would be great." You can assign the function of the switches on the 4pl. Check out the 'Set up Tips and Tricks' thread on the 4pl. I run the dig on my LCCs with DT3 or DT4. Gotta set up the switch to function like a 3 position first. |

Not wanting it on the 3 position switches, I want it on the lowest thumb button as the rear esc on/off. The only way to have the dig there that I can get to function is alt f/r and I think momentary, been 1yr since. I've programmed 2 previous futaba's, 3pmx and 4pks but the 4pl just don't wanna do it. Been thru all the programming threads when I was struggling with it, and still couldn't :(. Thanks a lot! Now you have given me the bug to go butt heads with it again . See if my stubbornness wins this time. Anyone know offhand what the resolution is on the trigger for the flysky remotes? As I recall my 4pks is 1020, the one flysky I've used with a loaner crawler was no throttle at one point, 1/4 throttle the next which didn't mesh with my crawling well. Can't argue the price points, I like cheap. But function always wins over cheap for me. Last edited by Whiplashdjs; 04-28-2014 at 06:18 PM. |
