Default did I get the wrong connector? ESC to motor

have a Hobbywing motor and a Castle MMP. I bought the 4mm male plugs and they fit the Castle ESC leads but how do they mount to the motor (I know I need to solder them)? Do I just sit them in there best I can, bend the tabs on the motor, or is it the wrong plug all together?

hard to see but it is too fat to slip in and make good contact.

I believe if it was my motor I would solder the wires directly to the terminals on the motor and the 4mm males on the other end of the wires to plug into your mmp

I run that same motor with my MMP wires soldered directly to it. If you must have connectors I would use a short section of wire between the motor tabs and the connectors.

I always run the plugs closer to the esc with the leads soldered directly to the motor. I've seen bullet connectors soldered directly to the motor but it just seems easier to run them up stream.

Thanks guys. Looks like the MMP ESC are hard wired to the ESC with Female connectors on the motor connection side. So, I'd need to cut them off to connect to the motor. I'm not liking that idea but is that what you guys did? I think I might just get a short piece of wire and solder that to the motor and the male ends to have a quick disconnect. Is adding length to the wire between the ESC and motor going to have any effect?

Correct not telling U to solder wires straight from ur mmp to motor but leave female on mmp solder 3-4" wires to motor and male bullets on them and there is ur disconnect some esc don't recommend running extra lengths of wire between motor and esc not sure if it will effect mmp I've run 9" total length between the 2 without issues on my fxrs
