| Savox Servo Voltage Question
I have a Savox SW-1210SG waterproof servo for in my Wraith. The specs rate it at 277.7 oz-in of torque at 6.0V. I'm running a Holmes BRXL and a 3s LiPo with it. I want to know what voltage I should set my Castle 10A BEC at for this servo and not toast it. Thanks! Last edited by Dirty 'Yota; 07-27-2014 at 06:16 PM. |

Umm...it's rated for 6V. Set bec at 6.3 at the most.

I'm also running a waterproof spectrum receiver, and have read that they sometimes don't like power-hungry servos. Would the BEC wired directly to the servo help eliminate such a problem? I know that 99% of the people here recommend an external BEC, but would the built-in 6V 5A BEC in the BRXL be enough for this servo? Last edited by Dirty 'Yota; 07-27-2014 at 06:19 PM. |

| Re: Savox Servo Voltage Question If you wire the BEC directly to the servo, it will still get the 6v that you set in the BEC although the esc's BEC will handle everything else including lights and what not. Either way of wiring the BEC is fine. Although, if you are worried about the receiver then I'd recommend a spektrum glitch buster. These really help with strong servos and in your case it may become useful. I think as long as you don't over power the recommend voltage for the receiver then you shouldn't have a problem |

I run my BEC directly to my Axial AR3 RX @ 7.4v it has handled that voltage just fine. I use the Solar D772 servo and 3s LiPo I have a Fly Sky GT3C TX W/GR3-E RX and that original RX did not handle 7.4v it failed. So I ordered the newly designed FS's GR3-F RX which is supposed to handle up to 8v Because I had to wait for it... I threw the original Axial AR3 RX back in... and it has held up to the 7.4v just fine so I'm just sitting on the two FS GR3-F RX's that I purchased. and if or when the AR3 dies... I'll try the FS GR3-F RX. btw... the Fly Sky GT TX/RX and Axial AX TX/RX are compatible. Last edited by TacoCrawler; 07-27-2014 at 08:46 PM. |
