Default Low voltage cutoff?????

Yesterday a finally bought a 3 cell lipo pack and I installed an fma low voltage cutoff. I opted to set up a custom cutoff whitch I set at 9v. Because the auto cutoff is set at 8.4v. which seemed to low from what I have read. The car is fast and works good untill you bind it up and then it shuts down.

has any one else used this cutoff and had the same problem? Or sould I just use the auto freature and let it cut off at 8.4v? This whole thing is new to me so I don't know.

Well been messing with it for the past hour trying to figure it out.
The Only other thing that I changed in the past week was a front servo. I striped a 645 at the last rock race and borrowed a blue bird bms-630mg from jason. which he said was doing some thing similar to this which is why he took it off. I thought it was just because he was not runnig a super rooster. Any ways I switched back to the 645. Been running it for the past half hour and hasn't done it since.

Wow I didn't think that servo would kill a super rooster!

I fried one of my 1/4 scales the other day and the whole rig went dead! I got home that night and started unplugging stuff till I found the problem, smoked servo stopped the whole truck in it's tracks. I am also running a S.R. esc.
So you don't need the info you PM'ed me about?

I got this problem figured out. It was the servo I believe. But now itis doing some thing differant. It is just losseing power and glitching very slightly when you bind it up and try to crawl out of the bind. But if you go full throtle it is just fine. I thingit may be the cheap tq3 I am running.

Keep the esc switched off and try an Rx pack plugged into the receiver. If it fixes your problem you have a faulty BEC.

The BEC on the SR is linear, so plugging in 11.1 volts reduces the 3 amp BEC down to less than 1.5 amps.
