Wiring vanquish light bar

Hi guys I'm putting a vanquish light bar on my scx10. The bar will be mounted on the body. I want to wire it to a switch mounted on the body then have a connection so I can take the body off. then run the power from the esc side of the battery plug to the connection near the switch. Will that work?

Re: Wiring vanquish light bar

The Vanquish light bars run on 11.1v or 3s LiPo. What I did, and it works but may not be the best way, was ran the positive to an SPST switch, out of the switch to the positive side of a deans connector. The negative just run straight to the deans. Then just plug the deans direct into a small 1600mah 3s battery. It works and I now have a switch mounted in the drivers seat...between the drivers legs
