Works in multiple rigs. All you have to do is gear it for the application. I run one in my 8lbs 2.2 XTV rig. Have ran one in a Twin Hammers and fast trail truck too.

I have one paired with a mamba max pro and it is amazing for a 2 pole motor...it runs right with my ROC412 3100kv and in certain conditions I think it surpasses the ROC412
I have it in a wraith based DMG Thug Chassis that weighs in at a little over 9lbs.... I would most certainly buy another for 55.00

Sensored brushless for only $55? That's what I was thinking when I saw them. It's only money right?

Sweet!!! I just got mine installed in my wraith last night. Geared 54/12 quick little test run in the house showed plenty of torque and very smooth. tempted to buy a couple more for my kids' trucks. Look forward to hearing about your experience with this motor.

Is the black can similar in performance to a Tekin 13.5 redline?

I have the 13.5 redline in my rig "experiment 626", the HH BL 540(the 79.00 one) in the rig "La Capra" and the HH walks all over the redline...I am going to eventually replace my redline with another HH BL 540

I ran 2x 13.5t redline motors, then got a Pro4 to replace one of them. I now run 2x Trailmaster motor's.

The HH trump the redline in: smooth start up, torque, wheel speed, trailing, hill climbs, performance.. I guess I could of just said, Everything! Lol..

I have used this motor for a while now. I really like it. I plan to pull it out waterproof it the best I can I hope. Still need to read how to do that. When funds allow I will be buying another one. Great motor. Great price

i just bought another one and HH offers conformal coating to waterproof the motors for an extra 7.00....well worth it!

Mine was great. It has a 12.5mm rotor 13.5t. It worked great for a few packs, but now has developed a loud squeal. I will be sending it back for inspection and HH has been more then helpful trying to figure out this weird issue.

I have ran other HH motors (brushed) and have had no issues. They are the only crawler/trail motors I will buy.

If I was you, id buy it just for the customer service.

My biggest gripe between the 2 HH motors offered is the cheaper of the 2 offers much, much better mounting holes, on the higher priced silver can motor there might be 2 threads per hole for the motor mounting bolt to grab and the can is so thin no more can be added.
Makes no sense to me to buy a Super Shafty transmission with a heavy duty mounting plate and not have the ability to get the motor truly tight without warping the case or stripping the mounting holes.

Thats the first time I have seen the more expensive one up close. Definitely not a good call on that.

We have a batch of new faceplates on the way to remedy that, I wasn't pleased either. I even sent our cad file (twice) to ensure the faceplates were made right and they were still supplied with too thin of threaded hole! They hold threads, but better safe than sorry.

More than happy with my first release.... Run it on 3s in 8 & 12 # rigs without fail.
