motor runs after TX turned off

Let me say this right off the bat, I dont turn off the tx before the esc normally, I did so absentmindedly yesterday and the rig took off. I have calibrated the ESC several times, my throttle is set to neutral before calibrating.

The reason i am concerned is the fact that if the TX dies, whether or not due to mechanical difficulty or the battery goes dead...I dont want the rig taking off.

now I am using a flysky fs-gt3c that is not hacked, i run three other rigs with this TX and none of them have this issue. The ESC is a brand new Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro and all the other rigs are using the same model ESC. The ESC has been updated to the latest version.

I also have a BEC and Hitech servo installed but it was doing this before those were installed

I tried the search function, but nothing turned up with my search parameters..

Ideas?

Find/read the instructions and learn how to set the failsafe.

that doesnt clear up why it does it on one but not the other 3 rigs... are you talking about a fail safe on the ESC or TX?

He is talking about a failsafe set on the receiver. If it loses signal, it should output neutral signals on all channels. If you are using a stock Axial transmitter and you have never re-bound the tx to the rx, this is a pretty common issue. Just rebind them and the should be ok.

ok, i was unaware there was a failsafe on the RX, thanks for the tip, it worked.

I still wonder why it only occurred on one of my rigs...all are axial, but this one and one other are flysky RX's and the other two are axial RX's...

at any rate the condition is fixed, thank you both

Luck. I haven't set the failsafe on any of mine (Axial and FS systems) and none of them take off when the tx is not on. It just works out that way sometimes.

Yep..my buddy's SC10RS takes off during failsafe..100% forward lol...he is too lazy to re set it.
My go fast failsafes are 80% brake, steer straight lol.
Crawlers just 100% brake.
