I had a rear 65 turn go bad not to long ago the front would work but the rear would not and since the power goes to the back first I knew there was power so I replaced them both.

I have had new stuff that was broke. It happens. Running 2 packs should change anything but runtimes. I would think. But I'm not to great with that part of RC's....

How do you have you motors wired? You might have a bad wire robbing your power. Might change the wires to the rear motor before adding the weight. Is these on a Super with 40's wheels or a 2.2? Have any pic's of the set up?

So when you hooked the battery straight to the motor you bypassed the esc? Maybe the esc is the culprit? Is it programable? If so, are both esc's programed the same? Just a thought.
