Default Castle BEC and Tekin ESC

I need some help setting up a BEC in my truck, I will try to explain this as best I can. My c2 truck is running a Tekin Gen2 RS with a 17.5t Sensored Brushess motor, my steering servo is a coreless Hitec, which has a voltage of 6v. I'm trying to use the Castle BEC to only allow 6v to it so it doesn't do funny things and burn up, the issues I'm having is, the Tekin uses an external power capacitor that gets soldered between the B+ and B- posts, when the power switch is off and I plug the BEC into my Castle Link, it powers up and lets me select settings. When I power the truck on, it thinks I soldered + and - together, and won't send power to the receiver, is there a way I can wire the BEC DIRECTLY in line with the servo? I have hooked these up in other trucks, without issues, thanks.

I couldn't tell from your description, do you have both the red wire from the ESC and the red wire from the BEC connected to the receiver? That would make it not work and is a very not good thing to do.

This diagram shows how to wire the BEC to the servo directly.

Taken from Definitive wiring diagrams for BECs Rx Servos Motors etc.

You can do this by making your own wiring harness, using a Y-cable and pulling the red wire at the receiver or use a RX-bypass adapter like in the link below.

I don't entirely follow your issue but would the Holmes Hobbies Rx Bypass Y-Adapter help?

Do it this way, note the negative wire returning to the receiver! I know it shows multiple servos, but the principal is the same.

No ground going to Rx??

Use the HH Rx Bypass Adapter and save yourself from pulling wires and coming up with fandangled wiring layouts.
