Wiring wireless warn winch I'm getting a new deadbolt and rc4wd warn winch later this week. The winch is going to have the wireless controller. I was wondering if I could wire it and power it through my receiver instead of a battery. If not, has anybody tried running the truck and winch on the same battery? Re: Wiring wireless warn winch My rc4wd winch is powered directly by my 3s battery that powers the truck. No problems so far. It can be powered by the rx but that will only be 5v which IMO is to low. Yes it will work but the pulling power might be lacking. |
Re: Wiring wireless warn winch I was afraid of that. Could you post up a picture of your wiring? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Wiring wireless warn winch Not much to show. The power wire from the winch controller has a connector on it. I cut that off and soldered the wire directly to the battery connector of the esc wires. Then hook up the winch per the instructions. I run 3s so it gets direct 3s power. |

Re: Wiring wireless warn winch My winch is powered through a bec from my battery. The signal wire is the only thing going to the receiver. |
