Default DX4c and a winch

Just got a DX4c and I'm trying to get it to work with my Heyok relay winch controller.

I set my ch3 to 3 pos but it seems to be set for 0/1/2 rather than -1/0/1.

I have seen someone do it on a youtube vid, but I can't figure it out.

nevermind, I got it.

setup ch 3 as 3rd pos, and go to mixing and setup aux1 to mix with aux 1, and set active to trim.

just curious why do you need to use a mix, im using a dx4c and have been for a while and have not needed to use any sort of mixing to get either of my aux channels to act correctly as a 3pos type for winch control or anything else.

Not sure why it wouldn't work, maybe because I was using a relay switch?
