Default Trying to set up a Shift servo. Might have a bad servo?

I have a honcho with a two speed ax 2 transmission. I have a cheap traxxas servo for shifting with a plastic servo horn. My last run it would stay in low gear but it would keep popping out of high gear. I thought I had my end points adjusted just right. Maybe something went bad servo? Truck has seen some water and been a submarine. Thanks

Needs more tq and a better servo horn. Also make sure linkages are good and lineal with eachother with no binding.problem always is that the shift linkage is straight and linear but a servo runs on an arc. This causes binding on transmission linkage.. if it pulls out of linear movement will need more tq to pull. Also if its not strong enough to fully engage it will force itself out of gear . Hope this ramble helps ya..... It's all about the set up.

Okay so I need a more powerful servo. I was thinking if I could rig something up that piece of wire maybe and some rubber tubing so just push against the rubber and I would kill another servo
