Default AE5 and AR3 issue...help!

Let's just preface with this: I've spend about 20 minutes searching for an answer to this with no avail. I've used both Google and RCC (unrelated question- why do you have to wait 60 seconds between searches? Is it just the way the site is set up?)

I have a brand new AE5 esc. Picked it up from the lhs, got deans soldered on, soldered the switch off, and took it home and plugged it into my AR3 radio. I plugged in my d772 servo, plugged in the esc, then the motor and last, the battery. The esc made 2 beeps, then a quick series of beeps too close together for me to count, but obviously separate. The esc light is solid red, the receiver is flashing red, and the servo is glitching out. Way more than the 772 normally does. I don't run a BEC btw. I called the lhs (didn't feel like driving 2 hours round trip to have them look at it) and they said try rebinding it. So I spent a few minutes trying to bind it, and it didn't want to bind. I'm guessing it's a radio problem? I haven't yet taken apart the receiver, but I'm going to do that later tonight.

Happen to anyone else? TIA

I tried that...I tried 2 different servos and no servo at all. I pulled apart the receiver too and it looked fine. There was a little bit of corrosion but I've had the truck for about a year so I have no idea how long it's been there.... :/

Are you sure the plug is in the correct position in the receiver? If so try flipping the switch to reverse throttle direction on the remote.

Yeah. Black (or the darkest brown for the servo) goes as far away from the center of the receiver, right?

You may need to calibrate the ESC, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFLKaA1a7fQ

Didn't understand what you meant. Just got back from getting parts for the 1:1. I'll try reversing the throttle and recalibrating the ESC. I'll be back in 5 with results. Thanks

Ok so I tried plugging everything in, and now the receiver light isn't lighting up. The ESC is still flashing, but the receiver won't do anything. No throttle (there wasn't throttle from the start) and now no steering. I'm just going to take it to the LHS. I'm guessing it's my receiver since the esc is getting power.

Turns out the lipo I was using had a dead cell. Need to dunk it in salt water and throw it out. It's seen it's fair share of use and abuse. Plugged in a Gens Ace 5kmah 50c and she started right up. Thanks all
