Hobbywing stock combo esc settings Hi, I'm new to crawling and i have just built the Vaterra K-5 Blazer Ascender i have put the hobbywing stock combo in which has a 21.5T sensored brushless motor and the juststock club spec esc. I was wondering what settings to set the esc at eg drag brake, start mode(punch), initial brake force and neutral range. |
Re: Hobbywing stock combo esc settings These are mostly personal preference. Drag brake stops the truck when you let off the throttle. If you want it to stop / hold very suddenly and with great force, choose a higher setting. If you want a gentle coasting, choose a low number. Punch determines how much force is used on startup. So if you want a smooth takeoff choose a higher number? If memory serves 0% is full punch. Good for wheelies in basher trucks. Initial brake force, I usually leave this alone and let it default to drag brake. Haven't experimented with this much. Others might be more helpful. Neutral zone, I typed out a response for this, but my brain isn't turned on yet. So google it or search it on the forums. These are all probably covered a million times, with greater detail. Also if you hook up your ESC to your PC via the program card, it gives a description of what you're changing. |
Re: Hobbywing stock combo esc settings Thanks for that. |
Re: Hobbywing stock combo esc settings I run 40% drag on the 10BL60 Hobbywing. With a ROC412 2300kv... I burned the Justock ESC after 30min with a error on my part... or not I will never know... I had trouble with the sensor from day 1... but the 10BL60 is flawless ( and nearly the same ESC) |
