Default puller pro 540xl vs trailmaster bl sport 540

Help me choose which one. It's going to be used in my Ascender build, will see fresh water/mud, will be paired with the trailmaster ble pro esc, just not sure why I would want the more expensive puller pro.

Sorry if this is a repost, but didn't find a thread comparing the two.

TrailMaster sport all the way, or wait about a week and we will have Puller Pro 540S stubby motors that will be lower priced and shorter 4 pole designed just for smaller and more fragile scale rigs. The Puller Pro 540 or 540XL is way too powerful for an ascender.

Thanks for the quick reply John, when you say the Puller Pro 540 or 540XL is too powerful, does that include the Puller Pro 540S as being to powerful also?

The 540S is also powerful, but not as obnoxious or heavy as the longer versions. I've sheared plenty driveshafts testing with the 540S because of the wheelspeed. But it is very controllable and will have a smoother feel as compared to the TrailMaster 540.

Ok great, so as long as I don't keep the throttle wide open all the time, I should be ok with the 540S.

They should be available next week you said?
