| Setting timing on Hobbywing Xerun sct-pro 3656 combo
Hello, I am in the middle of my Yeti build and just installed the above mentioned esc/motor combo. My 3656 is the sensored 3400kv version and was wondering what would be a good setting for the motor timing. The stock setting on the esc is 15 deg. I have been away from the hobby for about 15 years and know very little about this topic. I understand that lower timing produces more horsepower at lower rpm but thats about it. I will be running my Yeti strictly as a basher on 3s and would like to get as much speed as possible without burning anything up. Thanks in advance... |

More timing is more power but also more heat, so just play with it, start out at 10 or 15 and go from there.
