Default spektrum dx3 3rd channel

im setting up a winch on my scaler and obviously its going to be set up on the 3rd channel. but the A and B buttong on my DX3 both adjust certain things. isnt one of them supposed to be for the 3rd channel? or is it the C button? im realy hoping its A or B because they are 3 position, return to center switches whereas C it just a single push button. im not at home right now so i dont have the manual to read to find out for my self... so if anyone has rear steer or a winch set up on a new DX3, help m out here.

the third channel control is in the software, not the switch its self.

That post and Slobin's sig...

We're not laughing with you, we're laughing at you!!!

...made me bust out laughing.

If you mod the winch servo and set the 3.0 to LN on the 3rd channel you should be able to operate a winch.

Won't be as simple to operate as a momentary pushbutton or toggle, but it should work.

Praise the all Knowing JIA.

Lock the POT at center the when you let go of the switch the servo thinks its back at center.

I just ordered a DX3.0...had a DX3 on hold but opted for the 3.0. Here is my question...

Will I be able to set the 3rd channel for rear steering? I know that they said the new version will work with Tmaxx trannies. But will I be able to have smooth steering?

from the sound of it... no. it looks like the 3rd channel cannot be used for controlling another servo for rear steer or a winch.
