How does the size of the v3 compare to the hitech 7950TH. It is safe to assume it will fit in the Vanquish Wraith CMS mount?

I'm going to have to try one of these servos at some point. Nice find!

I'm going to be keeping an eye on these servos and wait until a few people have run them for a while but the sure look nice. A little excited to see how they hold up over time.

They seem pretty similar as far as size. Could you post a pic showing the difference in height from the mounting points to the output, please? Maybe spin them around from the way that one is taken, so the outputs are near each other, and from an angle that doesn't hide the topside, if possible. It looks like a few mm taller than the 7950 up there, I'm hoping this will fit without raising the servo arm up too high... Thanks! Last edited by Turtlejon; 11-11-2015 at 10:08 PM. |

While checking the sizes I found something rather important - the dimensions on the packaging must be for the v2 servo and have not been updated for the v3, which is the one we are discussing. EDIT - This is correct, I found the old post by Slayso that shows the v2 dimensions (which matches the current packaging) and the v3 dimensions are in inches. Here is an image of the dimensions from the box updated with the actual measurements from the v3 using a digital caliper: Here's a table comparing the v3, HS-7950TH, and v2 primary dimensions: Last edited by mikebecher; 11-11-2015 at 11:28 PM. |

Back to the original reason for pulling my servo out tonight - to put on cable braid. I was inspired by this post from Heckler to use this stuff and it makes the wires look great, adds protection and makes them easier to route. |

Reliability update - I ran my ProModeler v3 at the RECON G6 Shaka Brah Classic III this weekend and once again it was solid. This was not a particularly demanding nor long course but we ran two laps and I did a third speed run for fun, totaling about 180 gates. Afterwards I put in a 4s battery and went full-out bashing through the forest and on the beach. The HH PullerPro 3500 on 4s is insane , moving the rig at close to 30mph and pushing everything to the limit. I had several high-speed rollovers that I figured would break something. My post event tear-down today revealed a couple fully stretched steering rod ends and a bent servo horn, verifying that I did indeed subject the servo to some serious strain, yet the v3 is still performing flawlessly. |

I bought one and put it on my Class 2 Comp Scale rig. This rig the servo is chassis mounted. I felt like it did not have enough throw even with a longer servo horn. I took it off in frustration and put in on my other SCX10 that is axle mounted and it is a beast. I wish it could be programmed like the Hitec servos to get more throw out of them.
