Default ESC for winch control set up help needed!

Heloo gents, and ladies from RCC! I am having a bit of a problem figuring out how to properly set up an ESC for my which control.

What I have is a 4PKS, a Tekin B1R ESC, and a Hitec 645 MG servo modified for winch purposes. I had the servo winch set up like it is on Harley's thread for the 4PK, worked fine, but overall was too slow for me, and just couldn't stand the drifting part of it, so I went for an ESC. Have heard from multiple people back in 2012 during NWSC that the B1R was the way to go, so I went for it. life happened time went by, and pretty much forgot what/how I was supposed to do it, the main thing is now to get it all to work, servo and ESC are wired together, now just need to get it all to work...

Thanks for reading, and any input will be much appreciated!

I have not done it either, but if I was going to, I would set it up the same as if I setting it up to run my truck. I would need neutral, forward, reverse on the winch, the same as running forward brake reverse on my truck. Then set end points and fine tune with my radio?????

What Cody said.

I use ESC's for winch controllers as well. Pretty easy to setup the button on a 4pks. Works just like an esc does on a motor. Neutral, fwd and reverse.

That makes sense, I was talking with Chino63 last night and he said the B1Rs are picky under load if the winch stalls, meaning it will smoke the ESC, do I have to make sure I haven't done that yet, then try Cody's steps!
Thanks Guys!

And so it lives,
First thing I did was to change the settings on the Radio, then adjust the channel since it now has variable speed, then move trims back to zero, and Voila, it all came back to life properly, its actually a lot easier that I expected it.

Thanks again for the suggestions Cody, and Shane!
