Maybe not the right thread, but oh well....sue me.

I should probably already know the answer to this, but how do I properly dispose of a lipo that's already puffed and split the hard case?

1.) Fuly discharge the battery, I use an automotive tail light bulb.
2.) Snip off all wires (you might need them in the future, copper is $$).
3.) Throw lipo in the trash

Completely discharge the pack to 1.0v per cell or lower, soak it in a bucket of saltwater for a few weeks then throw it in the trash. There are other methods and myths on LiPo disposal, but this one is included with Duratrax LiPo's, and I believe TrakPower, Reedy and Trinity LiPos and it works just fine.

I definitely do not have a charger that has that mode which pisses me off cause I paid decent money for it... Live and learn I guess. At least now I know what I need to get

definitely invest in a quality charger with a storage mode. i believe mine charges them to about 3.8v per cell, i guess if you didn't feel like spending any extra money just charge them back up to 3.8, take them off and store them that way...

Thunder AC6 is an awesome cheap lipo charger.
Thunder AC6 Smart LiPo Balance Charger/Discharger w/ AC Adapter for 1-6 Lipo/ 1-15 Nimh + USB to PC Software

this was my first one.

What charger is it? Even my $30 charger has storage mode.
