Why can't it tell if it's getting damaged by low supply under demand?
I'm really confused. Are the RX8's dead, or can you just not get them to work?

I don't understand how the ESC would be damaged from being under-powered.

I ran my rx8 /3300 pro 4 off of little 2200 3s 20c batteries without fail and sv3/5700 4 pole castle motor off of 1300 3s 20c without fail too. And of course both have deans. I don't know what to say.

Yes both RX8's are dead but I have not yet sent them in for service so I do not yet know just what has failed in them or how it happened.

I can see how the capacitors in the unit can be stressed by lack of power but I can't say for certain that is what happened.

Capacitors are like tiny temporary storage tanks of energy and they would prefer to always have enough power to keep them full for those needed bursts of amperage to the motor. Kind of like trying to start your car with an almost dead battery. It will try for a while but if you drain it down to a dead state too often you will kill it permanently and it will not recharge. I imagine that this is what could happen to the ESC.

It wasn't a crappy battery that caused the issue, it was a failing plug. There is no easy way to safeguard against that.

Any time this man had ever diagnosed an issue of mine he was right. Which is why I buy his products.

Which btw a BLE in a yeti is pretty much awesome, I beat the hell out of that thing and it has been the only reliable thing I've installed. (And the puller XL)
