this one ?...

do you have the 10 turn pot adjustment control ?

if so... you need a voltmeter to check the voltage output reading,
at the RX and Servo plugs, as the pot is turned.

Yes the battery needs be hooked up.
But don't connect the outputs to the RX or Servo
until the voltage is determined and set.

Voltmeter's can be purchased inexpensively if ya need one.
I bought a low buck voltmeter at Harbor Freight.
Maybe $ 3.00 spent.
Not spectacular quality... but gets it done.

I don't use the Hey OK nb'r BEC
and instead utilize a 10a CCBEC adjusting voltage with the CC's link
connected USB with my laptop.

it's not rocket science regardless.

If you don't have the 10 position control unit
and a voltmeter...

then I have no idea what you have going !?

btw... it's Hey OK... not Hay OK

It does have a pot adjustment but it looks like I need to cut the heat shrink to get to it.
Gonna send it back and get a CC.

I have been using a HeyOK BEC for about 3 years now. I did run into one problem. I had ground loop issues and ended up lifting the ground (black wire) that goes to the receiver plug. Worked fine after that. Jerry

It sounds like you guys have this handled. Thanks!

Yes, I preset them to six volts unless you ask for another voltage when you order it.

The description on adjusting the voltage was pretty much perfect. Thanks again!

First I had heard about a ground loop problem. Glad you were able to work out a solution.
