Default MMP + Pro Puller 540XL Shutter help?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySo65L1_K0Q

This happens with low throttle before taking off!

Pro Puller 540XL with MMP with smartsense on and lastest firmware, new sensor wire.
If i disconnect the sensor wire the shutter/hesitation stops, is the sensorboard broken maybe?

The shutter stops all together when the sensor wire is removed?
Because, in the video it looks like the sensor wire is bad or not plugged in.

Yes video is with wire connected, i did try with a new sensor wire but it did not help!
With the sensor wire off its less shutter but not so smooth.

I have the Mamba Monster X and the 540 XL. I run mine with Smart Sense on.

I understand that the way Holmes engineered the XL, it won't be as smooth as the other Puller motors or a Tekin Pro4 but gives that up in torque.

In the first video you posted, the thing that I wondered is how is your gear mesh? Is it too tight?

It sounds like there is voltage trying to start the motor, but the load is very high and it jumps to life. So the throttle response is there (I can hear a big range when you are pulling more trigger before startup), but something is sticking.

I did totally miss this answer, could it be a bad reciver? I use a old Airtronics MX3 for it arm.
Strange thing is when I realese the throttle back its very smooth but the start up is a bit laggy as seen in the videos!

I have tryed different gear mesh as well not difference!

Anything ode what I should do next?

The xl isn't the smoothest starting motor. Once spinning you can reduce speed.

I had a similar problem with mine but only in forward or reverse depending on the wiring from the MMP to the motor. The problem ended up being a setting on the radio. Not sure how it got turned on but ABS was turned on. After turning it off, no problems.

I understand it's not so smooth.
But why dose the motor hesitates so much before it starts to spin? Checked other videos on YouTube and I can't hear it.

If I order a new sensor board would it solve it?

Opened the motor to look and the sensors were covered with think layer of waterproofing could that be the problem maybe?
I have never used the truck in water anyway so the waterproofing dose not matter to me.

Got it with waterproofing from HH MMP + Pro Puller 540XL.
