Default Battery bulge

Hey guys, I've got a set of Floureon 3s lipos I've been running for a while now. First set of lipos I've ever owned. One still looks brand new, the other is starting to show signs of bulging and not quite fitting in the battery tray properly. Anyone have a rough guess on how many more recharges it has? Should I just go ahead and retire it to the recycling bin? Just want to make sure a potential thermal event doesn't burn down the house or my rig.

As far as electronics go I run a HH BRXL, a 16T Crawlmaster motor, Savox da-1283 servo on external BEC.

Thanks!

Oh and every time I've charged them I've always had them set up to do a balance charge. My low voltage cutoff is set at whatever the BRXL is factory set to. When they hit the cutoff the voltage is around 10.3ish.

Why take the chance ? If that battery is puffing I would get rid of it now instead of taking any chances. No matter how much you payed for that battery , a new one is cheaper then an accident ! Also make sure you recycle it properly by first discharging it completely.

for $15.00 just get rid of it. I had a slightly puffed battery with a full charge. Take it outside and puncture it.(from a distance) Until you see one go up in person I don't think the full gravity of a lipo fire sinks in.

Sounds like a good excuse to make sure the boom stick is still sighted in.

Meh, puffed cells aren't that big of deal. Be brave (or stupid) like me and run it till the performance drops then dump it. Everyone that pulls a chicken little should send me their puffed packs.
