Cheap sealed can motors don't like 3s. Drop a brushless in there and learn what bashing is all about. I run an sv3/5700 combo on 3s in my basher and I beat it like I hate it. No problems at all.

And you changed the gearing when you went to 3s or left it the same? Later EddieO |

I checked with KD along time ago about doing this mod just lookin for some direction...the truck probably don't even weigh 6lbs...i know i need a 550 but I'm really thinkin one of their motors will work...if it carries an emaxx at speed it should carry this little thing...it's only 2wd with a spool not 4wd with 2 spools Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've been running a cheap axial 55t motor on 3s for over a year now. No issues with it yet. Yeah I would like a better motor, but this one just won't give up.

I run HH Crawlmaster 16T and 20T motors on 3s in scale crawlers and they love it. JRH has said for years "volt up gear down".
