Default Tactic tx300 3rd channel for a winch

Have the standard tx that comes With the bomber & I'm trying to set up the 3rd channel to work with my winch, currently have a ssd ox up front with a heyok winch controller,
Can anyone help getting it to work as it currently just winds in or out,

I'm assuming that you have a three position winch controller and it just isn't seeing the center position.
Therefore, it sounds like you have your third channel set for two positions.
Check this by connecting a servo to CH3 and see how it moves. Does it swing left and right (two positions) or does it swing left, center and right (three positions)?

Once you get three positions working on that channel, assuming the winch controller is working properly, you should be good to go!
Feel free to send me a PM if you need more help.

just do what heyok said,i'm running that same controller and radio and mine works perfect, only thing i noticed when setting the third channel with the servo pluged in,try to center it perfect, seems to work best.1 position all the way left,2nd position all the way right,3rd position perfect center.

I know that this is a bit of archeology, but I am currently trying to get that CH3 to work as it should with a 3racing winch...

This 3-position programming only solves the problem partially. As long as the TX is switched on BEFORE Rx (which ofc is a good practice), everything is running fine. But if Rx is switched on when Tx is not, CH3 automatically goes to it's default position - which of course causes the winch to run.
