Default Connecting New ESC, New Motor, and New Servo...

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff, but know enough to be dangerous. Here is my new electronics suite for my Bomber:

*Holmes Hobby Puller Pro 540 3500kv WP
*Mamba Monster X
*Promodeler Servo
*Stock RX/TX
*Castle Creations Quick Connect Duo

I would like the capability to easily disconnect components. I would also like to have the 3rd channel control drag brake.

What do I need to cleanly / properly connect all of this together? I am not afraid to solder, but my experience is limited to soldering deans connectors (and not all that well).

Thanks!

Use Deans for your battery/esc plug.
Use 4mm bullets for motor connection.
If you plan to take receiver and esc out you can use velcro, or just go with servo tape.

Other than that, you're pretty standard setup.

Does the motor come with bullets? If not how difficult is it to install them? I thought I read that mamba monster X is 6.5 bullets.

You'd have to check with Holmes on that one unless someone else rings in with an answer. If it doesn't, IMO, bullets are about the hardest rc related thing to solder properly - I always take my gear into the LHS if it needs bullets installed.

I don't think you'll be able to have the 3rd ch control drag brake - that's a setting in the esc.

The only things that might need soldering are that motor-esc connection and /or the esc-battery connection. The rest of it should be plug n play.

MMX has aux connection that can be programmed for drag brake control. The motor has 4mm bullets but esc has 6.5mm. Will need to solder on some 6.5mm bullets to motor. Answered my own questions. Thanks.
