Ok guys this is my first post after creeping around here for a couple months. I've learned a lot thanks to all!! But now to the point, I built and flew rc planes for a few year and got my first rc truck last summer, slash 2wd and love it!! then saw a you tube video of a yeti said gotta build one of those!!! Got the kit and thanks to all the guys in the yeti group it's all figured out, motor, esc, servo and alum. bits. then wife and daughter said get it done we can race!!!! now heres the problem/question, I've only got one radio!!! gotta get another one!! let's get a better 4ch. one for later 2 speed trans servo and winch!!! got it, after reading more forums and reviews, narrowed down to 3. the dx4s, the 4pls or the mt-4s. I've compared them and just can't decide!!! Any thoughts, oppinions will be greatly appreciated!!!! sorry for being so long winded!!!!

I have the DX4S it came preloaded with steering mix's. I run a wraith with 4ws and a winch. I love it. The options were pre loaded, and there is a lot to play around with mix wise. I cant complain! I also use it to run my slash. Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk |

I love my futaba 4pls. I'm using it on 3 rigs currently, and it works flawlessly. It can, and will do pretty much anything you will ever need in a radio. I have used a couple spektrums in the past. they were decent radios for the money, but glitched when I got around a bunch of other radios. |

Same as women mate.....blonde or brunette Go with what ever feels best in your hand, you could be hanging onto the bastard for a long time, so may as well be comfortable Me I like and only use the MT4-s |

Anxious to see what churns up here. I've been a Spektrum man for years, but thinking seriously of moving to Futaba! I'll stay tuned!

I run both mt4 and 4pls, both feel good but kinda lean towards the mt4. Both program easily and have the features so i can do 4wheel steer and winch in increments where the dx4 does not. Have also seen problems with spectrum with winch controllers and some model memory issues.

Thanks for all the replies!!!!! I know this is like the chevy ford debate!! my lhs is a poor excuse for one!! I hate to say, not much in stock, if it's not traxxas it has to be ordered. right now he has 1 radio in stock a traxxas tqi 3 channel. so handling one is difficult. I found another shop bout an hour away but not made it there yet. correct me if i'm wrong the 4pls doesn't com with the tellimitry sencors and the mt-4s does??? not a deal breaker but nice feature!! thanks again!!!! down to pls and mt-4s. now to find a shop to handle one!!!!!!! |
