Default New Light Bars from Associated

Just found these on BigSquid. By far the cheapest light bars available now... I'm definitely putting one of these on my trucks.

I saw these. It's nice to have some realistically price light bars.

glad I didn't pick up the pro line light bar I was looking at on sat. This appears to be much better.

X2. Wish they were 3S capable and in clear or raw but the price makes it attractive. I'd like to see some real lights on pics.

Where did you see they aren't 3s?

Here's a picture of it on, but not the best. Doesn't seem to bright.

Hmmm... what vehicle is that? Does Associated have something up their sleeve?

Ive been wondering the same thing since seeing those pics! Not to much chatter about it from the major RC news outlets though?

I couldn't find any spec info and i could be in massive error but 4v LED's and running off of your receiver leads me to believe only 2S.

Personally, Id buy it anyway just from price point and hook i up to 3S and take the risk.

Because they aren't giving out specs, I assume they are very dim

Ok I'm sold now lol, thanks for the pictures. Was there any info included with the light bar (what volts)? Are you running 6v?

The instructions don't say what volts only how to mount them. They do have a push button switch which is nice. I'm running them off the Axial AE-5 ESC and the tactic receiver.

From what I can see in the product pictures:
* Each individual LED "module" is rated for 4V.
I assume these are all connected in parallel on the strip and some resistor is attached to feed the strip ~4V at the proper current.
* The lights come with a connector for the Rx.
Typical voltage for the Rx is 6V, 7.0V when fed from a fully charged 6V battery. Therefore I guess that it's assumed to be fed 6V but can handle at least 7.0V.

Any one look at onetoomanyrs's web site ? he has very good pricing and many styles of lights and light bars.
I bought a couple sets and he included a couple resitors for the 4-6 v light so I can run them all off of my 3s power pack !

His stuff is awesome. The Black Beauty is the brightest light bar I've ever seen.

Looks pretty nice, decent brightness and good price. I like my crawler lights decently bright, but there are several on the market that are just way too bright and some were blinding the crap out of peeps at Axialfest. I like them scale brightness you could say.

From Team Associated site:

"Do not exceed either 6-cell 7.2v or 2S Lipo 7.4v to power the lights."
