sadly no. the Tekin RX8 gen2 does it via Bluetooth to android

I have both and after getting it set up (assuming that you are mainly bashing) you will rarely need to make adjustments. That being said I did like the convenience of the Tekin setup app.

I use castle link on my cheapo windows tablet, just had to track down a micro-usb to full size usb adapter as my tablet doesn't have a full size usb port. Works great.

Just wanted to add, I picked up a windows tablet yesterday and got castle link to work. I wanted something small and cheap in the field and a windows tablet is perfect.

You'll need a USB OTG adapter if it doesn't have a full size USB port.

I have a HP Stream 7 that I picked up about a year or so ago direct from the Microsoft store (they load whatever brands they sell there with a more efficient and cleaner install of their OS without the mfg bloatware).

Scored it for $75, stuck a big capacity microSD card in it and upgraded it to Windows 10. I was planning to use it in the field with the Castle Link and am glad to hear you guys having yours work!

I do have the USB OTG adaptor.

Hadn't considered the Stream 7 - nice to have a dedicated field device - I've been using an OLD acer notebook. Thanks for the advice

I don't understand why Castle doesn't let the link adapter with with Android USB OTG. It works with the Tekin hotwire.

I realize that they always have in the past. It's however entirely possible for them to make it work with Android and would be useful to many, cheaper than Bluetooth or wifi programming, and backwards compatible.

Not sure why they would switch , convenience is nice, but a rewrite of code might not be economically feasible .
