So the motor (as opposed to the ESC) will be fed exactly the same voltage as before (the throttle never passing above 67%) and therefore not change its current consumption one bit.
The current drawn from the battery pack will also be 67% of what it is on 2S.
Where was this premise in the OP? It was a simple question of what if.

Where does the throttle never magically go above 67%?

I'll just shake my head...

Post #2, which is the one I commented.

Change the driving style and you'll change the power consumption and thus the battery runtime.

I think I may go 3s. I been monkeying around with motors swapping today. I had a 45t not 55t my mistake. My neighbored said it was when he looked I couldn't see anything till I took it apart. Got the 35t in it now. Geared down did not like that super duper slow on 2s and had the jitters. Plus some sort of grinding type noise. I may have had the pinion to tight I do not know either way I didn't like the speed. So I put my old pinion on the new 35t seems good now with the noise. I may have set it less close don't know. As for speed not much of a difference really I can see plus's for both. Seemed the 45 had more get up and go from the get go. The 35 has a nice smooth slow going travel though I do like that. Gonna run it for a bit to see how it is. Plus I need to charge my battery up to full capacity it might rip and tear then who knows. One thing I noticed was drag the 45 was really hard to budge when it was sitting on the floor while the 35 is easy to push. Like the 45 had a drag break on all the time or something.

RC4WD best ten dollars I ever spent on this thing. So smooth running. I honestly thought it was just an experimental throw away before I ordered another higher end one. Its not it's a keeper I may try out other motors sure I will, but for now I have no desire I'm gonna enjoy this one.

If that motor thrills you that much then you should be afraid of a good motor. You may not ever be the same.

a torque master sport or a crawl master sport would whip the snot out of the rc4wd motor..and they are not that expensive...under 40 bucks...and so much more power and smoothness

I got the 3s and ran it with the 35t was to fast just constantly rolled over. Not what I call fun even if it was faster. I do know now what I had for a pinion was 20/87. So I decided to gear it down for the Holmes to the recommended 12/87 ( White Trash and another gent) and installed the Holmes. Turned out pretty good with 3s I can still roll it I just got to watch it, but now I got torque to when it's slower. Also for chilling 2s is nice not that fast probably not even as fast as my 45t with the 20 pinion, but it's still nice I learned to like this type of speed. After picking it up every other second.

All and all I really like it. Its quite versatile having two different batteries both have good torque. Just ones' faster and both creep good enough to run it in my home.
