Default Soldering motor leads directly on ESC

I am working on a project where space is limited.

Can I solder my motor wires directly to the female bullet connectors on a Sidewinder 3 ESC?

Here's a mock up photo of what I want to do.

I don't want heat to damage the board in the ESC.

Thanks for any advice.

You can but why would you want to? Easy enough to just cut some male bullets down and solder across them flush to the top of the female end.

Trim the wire short and install the bullet connectors as soon as you connect them you will need to remove them

As the others have said, you definitely can, it's just not always the best idea. I did it on my main comp truck due to needing the wires to sit flush with the top of the ESC and not having the right connectors on hand (and instead of fixing it I've driven that truck for 6 months like that haha). Works just fine, but makes maintenance difficult and on-trail motor swaps impossible.

You can get low profile bullet connectors from TQ racing.
4mm Bullet Plugs

I have used them on my rigs and they work well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. The low profile connectors look like the answer for me. I just ordered them.
