Default Flysky gt3c lipo battery upgrade help.

Did anybody ever DIY upgrade their gt3c radio to a bigger lipo perhaps with deans or any other plug. My battery dies out too fast and I just want to upgrade instead of buying a new battery. Help would be greatly appreciated.

i ordered the 1200mah optional battery ...the stock one is 800mah.... mine seems to last forever. That being said I have another flysky gt3c that literally starts warning me about low battery voltage within a couple minutes..it fluctuates wildly between 3.4v and 4.0v.... the issue is with the radio, not the batteries as I have tried several in it including the new 1200mah and get the same result...

So, the issue could be your radio, not the battery

Dammmm. So it's my radio that's broken not battery? Yeah, mine does the same thing. Voltage fluctuates like nuts.

It's already hacked and it's the grey/silver one.

There isn't really room in the radio to give it a bigger battery.

Flysky does have a 1200mAh version for the iT4 that fits into the radio.

Is the battery actually dying or going into the low voltage alarm? The voltage alarm is adjustable (With the new firmware). The hardware is the same so the power draw shouldn't really be different between radios.

It doesn't really activate the alarm but the voltage will fluctuate from 3.7-4.2 and actaully at times reaches even at a higher voltage. I plug it in wait for an hour and it's good for a few minutes and does the same thing over again.

I recommend actually seeing how long it takes for it to actually die and set the low voltage alarm accordingly.

It's hard to tell what could be causing the fluctuations

Where did you get your radio? How/who modded it?

If in case it wouldn't work so well can I send it over to you for some repairs? I got it new from hobby parts model by rcaddicts. It was showing signs of this problem before I had it hacked. New battery I ordered today but it might be awhile till it arrives.

No, sorry. I only work on radios I sell/sold. If I sold you the radio or firmware kit I'd be willing to discuss sending it back so I could troubleshoot it....but this is something rcaddicts should do.

It could be a calibration error, it could be a bad battery, it could be a manufacturing issue, it could be bad hardware. Hard to tell. But I would start with calibration.

Figured it out. Still thanks to you losikid. I overlooked the low voltage. It was set at a stupid 9v.

Was the alarm causing the voltage fluctuations?
