| Team Brood 10.5 Eradicator review
I was allowed to purchase this motor with the agreement to give a fair and honest review once I've really broken it in and put it threw it's paces. **DISCLAIMER** I am not a brood team driver, I am not compensated for this review in any way, this review is my honest opinion as a customer using a product. I purchased a team brood brushless sensored 10.5 Eradicator motor (the blue one) back in july. I've put loads of hours and abuse threw this motor. (I am a crawler not a racer) my rig is called "spiderpig" I am sure some of you will have heard of it. Spider pig. Edition 2.0 - RCCrawler When I got the motor I had compared it with the other brushed motors I'd received from them It might not look like much, actually in the looks department I felt some kind of lack luster. but after hooking it up I realized looks didn't matter. I ran this motor in my rig at KOG (King Of Guru's) in a sorrca class3 event and pulled out 7th place. I know that's not entirely all due to the motor. But I can tell you it definitely didn't hurt me any. I've ran loads of motors in the past with loads of different speed controls to go along with them. I am pushing this motor with 3s and a castle Mamba Max Pro (with the occasional 4s and 6s sled pulls and mud bogs) most of them would have failed on me by now. I did at ECSC in August have slight issues with the water. But a dab of dielectric grease on the sensor port and all the issues went away. And I managed to pull off a 2nd place in class3 and 6th place in class2 (again I know the motor didn't do all the work, but if I'd had a lessor motor I might have had more issues or worse) In short Iam extremely happy with the low end control, high end speed, and throttle response with this motor. I will be purchasing from team brood again in the future. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk Last edited by baconbits; 10-21-2016 at 11:43 AM. |

How well does the drag brake work on that motor?

I use minimal drag break on my setup. But the little bit I am using works very well. Btw I brought home a 3rd place in PA with this motor yesterday. It just keeps on keepin on. And I love every minute of it. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk |

I thought your axles pretty much negates a need for drag brake anyway? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

It negatives the need for the drag break to keep me planted once stopped... but without drag set to stop the motor it will have a rolling effect due to the inertia of the motor spinning once the throttle is let off. Quote:
