Good question. I'll let you know as it gets closer. Probably another 8 weeks to go on the waiting list.

Doing just as good today as the first day. Had the rig out for a bit yesterday till my pinion gear came loose. Oops, should tightened that.

I'll have it out again today for another hour or so session. So far even after running for an hour on end the servo only gets warm, I'm very impressed so far and I'm a picky fawk.

Thanks for the input. Good to hear. On the list for a 1/6 build turning Motoworx 3.8's.

We know your picky but that's the fun parts in reading your replies and providing input.

With as much weight as I run on the front end and 6" tall tires on a crawler I have zero doubt it will turn taller tires easily in a less demanding environment.

Lucky, those rims look sick. I'd like to see some pictures once you get those.

Up until a week ago I was running dlux brass knuckles, brass lower plates, loaded dice with a full load of tungsten. Not sure exact weight was but it was heavy.

I swapped out the brass knuckles for aluminum and the lower plates for the same to dtop the COG. I'm going to pick up a scale this weekend so I'll know exact weights soon.

I'm done with hitec too. Picked up a used 7980 in perfect shape and the motor died after id used it for a couple months. $73 to get it fixed. I told them to toss it in the trash, I'd go buy another blue bird or holmes.

Savox anyone? Post #48.

Yup I've had terrible luck with plastic cased savox for sure. Burned up a couple and broke a couple cases. After the 1283 living I figured I'd roll the dice on another big torque servo. So far I'm happy I did.

Jesus, those are beautiful. Wish I had a set on my XL. But the added weight is what stops me from buying them.

I really like my low buck 1230 in my Honcho.
Plenty of torque for a 1:10 scale crawler.
Hardly gets warm and has proven to be reliable
for my type of useage.
But what makes it great is it's lesser coin spent.

But for my 1:6 scale Nylint/Wrath TJ
The 1230 is only just adequate.
And gets a little too warm pushing my near 6" tires.

For the 1:6... I need more steering torque.
the 2290 sounds like the servo I need.

Not having as much luck finding one to purchase.
Hobby People @ $ 160.00 is the only proprietor I've found
that I've purchased thru before.

Savox Monster Torque BL Servo, Black 0.13/694.4@7.4

Anyone have a link for a lower purchase cost/shipping
from a trustworthy/reputable source (Distributor) ?

I too am running near 6" PL TSL tires on my 1:6
and quite frankly 500 oz/in is just acceptably adequate.

and so... I think I need a 600 oz/in plus servo.
I have the Castle 10A adj BEC so 7.4v no problem.
Plus I utilize the HH's RX by-pass ( "Y" )

So no worries... Plug ~n~ Play

allow for use of PayPal for making payment ?

Not a fan of utilizing my CC or supplying personal info
on a website for single one time purchase.

I think I did use paypal with them but I could be wrong. International shipping to me from there took a while since my package sat in Chicago for 4 days after taking a week to get out of Canada but it did arrive of course.

Pro-RC Canada doesn't utilize PayPal...

Unless that were paid to one of the propriators personal PP account.
I chose not to go that route.

Instead they utilize a Beanstream service at cart checkout (guest)
it cannot be a debt card... and needs be an actual credit card.

I hope my personal information is secure...
as I've no clue, nor have ever used this Beanstream payment/checkout !?

But it's a credit card... so I'm not really too concerned.

I talked on the phone with the lady answering at Pro-RC Canada...
very nice person...
and confirmed my purchase/payment verbally and via email.
She assured it will be shipped out to me on this day.

Can't wait to get this difficult to obtain servo in my hands

$ 155. (ish) stmd

Kinda pricey for my poor boy budget...
...so it had better be worth it !? ( @ WHITE-TRASH ) Lol
