| New radio idea, need some opinions...
I have a JR 9303 TX and a small Hitec RX that I might use in a crawler, my plan is to use the left gimbal for throttle and rear steering, and the right gimbal for front steering and something else, may a dig setup? I was planning on running an ESC without reverse and use a 2 position switch to reverse a toggle switch with a micro servo for reverse. This way when I cut the throttle all the way it goes to a "LOCKED" break and not into reverse, flip the switch and go back up and your in reverse. It sounds kinda complex but I can find an ESC that has an extremly smooth throttle like my Novak GTX, Super Roosters are nice but there HUGE!!! How is the newer Teken Rebel? is it comparable? Let me know what you guys think Later, Jake |

Sounds like it'll work, but you're carrying around a lot of extra hardware. Between the brake, reverse gears, servos and linkage, you're probably looking at an extra pound of stuff. Why not use a Mamba Max and a big outrunner instead? |

I think his radio is still ratcheting gimble. This would allow him to use the stick for throttle, and a switch for reverse. My concern would be getting a switch big enough for the amperage, and a servo to pull that switch. I would suggest a mamba max too. |

microgoat: there wont be any gears, the swtich will reverse the motor wires going to the motor harness, its a couple of oz's at the most... johnrobholmes: I though about that also, you have any idea how many amps 2 65T lathe motors will pull? 30 amps each? Later, Jake |
